Vacaay was born from a simple question: Why is travel planning still so clunky?
Since that moment, we’ve been on a mission to reimagine the discovery and planning process—making it faster, smarter, more intuitive, and built for the way people actually travel. What began as a lean startup has grown into a global platform used by millions. Along the way, we’ve hit some key milestones that helped shape who we are today.

Launched our first campaign—our first major win
One of the earliest turning points came when we launched our first national tourism board campaign. We weren’t the biggest name in the room—but we had a compelling product and a bold vision. That campaign overdelivered on every metric. Word spread, more deals followed, and the momentum began.
Surpassed 1 million travellers
In early 2021, we hit our first major growth milestone: more than one million people had used Vacaay to explore the world. It was a clear signal that our product was resonating—and that we were building something travellers actually wanted.
Closed our second funding round
Backed by a group of strategic investors, our second funding round gave us the firepower to scale quickly and invest in product, talent, and market expansion. The round pushed our valuation well into 8-figure territory—marking a major leap forward.
3 million trips planned
By late 2022, over 3 million unique trips had been curated through Vacaay—each one a reflection of how travellers are shifting away from traditional booking funnels and toward inspiration-led planning.
Opened our 5th office
What started in Sydney quickly grew into a global presence. By August 2023, we’d opened our fifth international office—joining our teams in Melbourne, London, Manila, and Cape Town. With team members now spread across multiple continents, we’re able to move faster, think globally, and support our partners around the clock.
Surpassed 5 million travellers on the platform
At the start of this year, we crossed another major milestone: over 5 million travellers had used Vacaay to plan their trips. That kind of scale doesn’t just reflect popularity—it shows that we’ve become a key part of the travel planning process for millions of people worldwide.
Signed our 100th client
Hitting triple digits wasn’t just symbolic—it was a signal that our platform had moved from promising upstart to proven performer. From national tourism boards, states and regions, to large hotel groups, national carriers and global brands, over 100 partners have now chosen Vacaay to drive bookings, brand visibility, and measurable ROI. It’s a milestone that reflects the trust we’ve earned—and the value we continue to deliver.
Partnered with global giants
Some of the biggest names in travel are now integrated into the Vacaay ecosystem. These partnerships allow us to offer a seamless journey from inspiration to booking—while giving our partners direct access to the moment real travel intent is forming.
The launch of Vacaay Studio
Our in-house content division was a natural evolution. From influencer shoots in the Maldives to 360-degree hotel tours and destination reels—we’ve built out world-class production capabilities. Now, brands come to us not just for reach and bookings, but for campaign creative that actually converts.
Building a tech stack designed for scale
Behind the scenes, we’ve been just as focused on infrastructure. From our custom-built POI platform to our live performance dashboards and upcoming AI-powered insights tools, the tech has grown up fast—and continues to evolve.
Every step forward has been about pushing boundaries—rethinking how people dream, plan, and book travel. With new product features, global partnerships, and expansion plans in the pipeline, the next chapter is shaping up to be our biggest yet.
