Members of our team recently attended the PATA Destination Experience Forum, held in the lush surrounds of Kuching, Malaysia.
Hosted by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in partnership with the Sarawak Tourism Board, the event brought together a global delegation of travel leaders—from national tourism boards and hotel groups to airlines and media partners. Against the backdrop of Borneo’s extraordinary natural beauty, this year’s PATA Destination Experience Forum delivered far more than just networking and panels.
Before the main event kicked off, our team was fortunate to explore some of Sarawak’s most awe-inspiring sights. From witnessing wild orangutans in their natural jungle habitat to stepping inside traditional longhouses once inhabited by Borneo’s legendary headhunters, it was a powerful reminder of the rich culture and biodiversity this region has to offer. They also trekked through the Fairy and Wind Caves, followed by a night of great food and plenty of drinks at the Rainforest World Music Festival—a unique cultural experience in itself.
A huge thank you to PATA and Sarawak Tourism Board for hosting such a spectacular showcase. The team are looking forward to PATA Mart 2024.
