We are thrilled to announce that Tristan Freedman has joined Vacaay as our new Regional Director for North America. With over a decade of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Tristan brings a wealth of expertise and a strong network of industry relationships to our growing team.
Tristan spent 12 years at award-winning travel marketing agency, Gate 7, where he served as the General Manager for the Visit California account, and led the strategic direction for many other DMO and tourism partners. His deep understanding of destination marketing and digital strategy makes him an incredible asset as we continue expanding across North America.
In his role at Vacaay, Tristan will lead our North American strategy, working closely with tourism boards and their trade partners –including airlines, hotels and OTAs– to deliver innovative digital marketing solutions focused on ROI.

He’s absolutely sports-mad and a die-hard NFL fan—so it’s only fitting that he’s now leading the charge in the North American market! When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Tristan deep in analysis, meticulously managing every detail of his Fantasy Football team (and riling up his opponents in the group chat). His competitive spirit and love for strategy, both on and off the field, make him not only a strong leader but also someone who brings energy and passion to everything he does.
